A few years ago we had a solitary dolphin come to visit Pittwater. It was extremely friendly and loved the attention of people. The dolphin would come straight up to the boats, and the ferry wharf at Church Point and visit anyone swimming. The playful dolphin was a delight but unusually preferred people to his own pod. Often staying in the bays for a while and then visiting the local Northern beaches before returning to Pittwater again.
We are very lucky on the northern beaches to often see many dolphins, sometimes almost daily “playing” in the waves! You never get tired of seeing them!
