ABOUT JO BELL
Hi I’m Jo Bell, I feel grateful & lucky to live on the beautiful Northern Beaches in Australia. I have had a love for the Ocean as far back as I can remember. Growing up in Durban, South Africa we would frequent the beaches & I’m incredibly lucky to be able to do that here in beautiful Australia. The Ocean has always felt like coming home to me. It’s where I feel my best self. Sometimes just to smell the salty air & dip my toes in the ocean is enough, but mostly I’m submerged in the Ocean exploring & having a giggle with the other local ocean lovers.
I’m inspired everyday by the Ocean & it’s marine life & I’m excited that I can share my passion with you through my pen & ink Artwork.
My aim is not only to create beautiful art but raise awareness, educate & inspire others to protect the ocean & its marine life. I try to bring to life on paper the marine life I see and swim with. I’ve been very fortunate to be in their presence & it’s only natural to shine a light & give back to that which has given me so much joy.
A percentage of all my artworks sold is donated to ORRCA (Organisation for the Research & Rescue Of Cetaceans in Australia) www.orrca.org.au It' s an organisation that’s close to my heart.
