Hammerhead sharks can often be seen in Pittwater on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. I’ve seen them generally swimming on their own when sailing near Barrenjoey Head. Although I haven't personally seen them swimming in this formation, it is my design. It is known that the scalloped hammerhead can be seen to congregate at times.
Hammerheads are really interesting and beautiful sharks that need protecting.
